Evolution Interiors, a leading provider of logistical support, office moves, relocations, and storage solutions, was committed to improving its operational efficiency and reducing its environmental impact. With a growing business and a recent move to larger office and warehouse facilities in West Horndon, Essex, the company sought a sustainable solution to modernise its lighting system and cut costs. Energy Renewals partnered with Evolution Interiors to deliver a tailored, grant-supported solution.
The new warehouse facilities in Essex came with outdated sodium lighting that was not only inefficient but also costly to operate. The high energy consumption contributed to elevated utility bills and a larger carbon footprint. Additionally, the lighting quality was inadequate for the team’s operational needs, impacting productivity and workplace satisfaction. Evolution Interiors recognised the urgent need to upgrade to modern LED equipment but required a cost-effective way to fund the project.
Energy Renewals collaborated with Evolution Interiors to create a customised solution that addressed both their operational and environmental goals. The project began with a complete redesign of the lighting layout, ensuring it met the specific requirements of the warehouse space. To make the upgrade more accessible, Energy Renewals identified and secured funding from LoCase and ERDF energy efficiency grant schemes, which covered 40% of the project cost.
The installation process was seamless, with the new LED lighting systems implemented on time and within budget. The upgraded lighting not only provided better illumination for the workspace but also significantly reduced energy consumption and costs.
The transformation delivered impressive results for Evolution Interiors:
Terry Green, Managing Director of Evolution Interiors, expressed his satisfaction, stating, “Superb lighting delivered by an excellent team, on time, on budget & the bonus of a 40% grant arranged.”
